How to Run At Home Without a Treadmill [VIDEO]
This routine is very quick and easy. Thousands of people have tried it and have had tremendous results - check out the comment section on YouTube if you want to see a glimpse.
Is running in place effective? Yes. Here are a few drills you can do to improve your running at home, in a 6’x6’ space - no treadmill needed.
Treadmills change the way you interact with the surface because of how unnatural it is. The surface itself is of course unnatural as well, but the ground moving beneath you and you just trying to keep up with the ground is different physics than moving your own body through space. In my view and from what I’ve observed, it encourages inefficient landing and in no way does it prepare someone realistically for actual running on the real ground. Maybe you've already noticed that running outside works in a completely different way for your body. I just think that the further we get from nature, the more problems we invite. And treadmills are quite far from nature.
Equipment
