My approach is based on one thing - the ability to handle yourself intelligently in order to accomplish what you want.
I coach athletes to meet and overcome challenges not by pushing through laboriously and enduring unnecessary pain, but by trying to find the most energy-efficient, sustainable strategies and solutions to training and athleticism. We engineer athleticism.
It’s important to understand the most important quality for an athlete in sport, or any person in life, is responsiveness.
The strongest person doesn’t win the fight. The most intelligent and responsive fighter wins the fight. If you’re training for a very specialized, very predictable event that is one thing. But most sports are not like that. And life certainly isn’t like that.
So my approach to athletic performance training involves much more than just making a strong and fast athlete. Before anything else, re-engineer and stabilize the foundation. This allows for greater enhancement and realization of your full athletic potential.
Athletic Engineering provides the tools to develop efficient, intelligent, RESPONSIVE athletes and human beings.
The development of the brain and body greatly depends on HOW you interact with the environment.
If you do too much linear training and thinking, like in conventional strength and conditioning, you will limit your reflexes and responsiveness.
You will miss opportunities to develop, because you do not actually know what you’re capable of yet.
Only when you do the right things, the right things will happen. Do the wrong thing and managing your body can be very costly.
