The physical demands of sport are complex, especially in the evolving modern world. We take a holistic approach to athlete development and sports performance, and use a diverse toolbox to make anyone who trains with us healthier, more durable, and have a body that lasts a lifetime.
We work with athletes who show a high level of commitment, maturity, and self-driven attitude.
Services offered to individual athletes include customized training plans and regimens, injury consultations, and slow-motion video analysis.
Primarily, we work with athletes virtually, using a combination of live Zoom sessions with customized monthly training regimens on AETV (see final bullet in this list). We operate in the Eastern Time Zone (GMT-4).
When feasible, we also work in-person with athletes on a 1:1 basis within Eastern Canada.
We are able to work with teams of up to 20 athletes, as long as there is a commitment by the team to focus on training during regular practice hours each week of in-season/pre-season time.
Team training can include team-centric training plans or customized plans per athlete, with focus on performance (and rehabilitation, when injuries are present). Programs include video instruction and demonstration, with movement progressions tailored to each athlete's starting point. Athlete programs are securely delivered using AETV, and athletes can ask questions and submit video checks for feedback on an ongoing basis.
We are very committed to helping anyone use their body to experience an active life, whether you are a competitive athlete or not. We work with people who want to move better and feel better in a sport (not necessarily in pursuit of competition), or who just want to experience a level of freedom and access to effortless movement regardless of their stage of life.
We work with sports organizations, government agencies, sports task forces, and non-profit groups to define and enhance their athlete development programs and strategic planning. Our expertise is in helping organizations ensure that each athlete is fully supported for long-term physical and mental health, regardless of the level of competition.
We consult with healthcare practitioners to provide expertise in movement-based rehabilitation for therapeutic care plans.
Using video analysis, we identify areas of weakness (and opportunity) in an athlete's structure and the way their body behaves in motion. Based on foundational movement efficiency and structural balance, this type of analysis is a tool to critically identify and inform improvements to movement technique, allowing athletes to use less energy while they play, and recover better on and off the court/field.
AETV, Athletic Engineering Training Videos, is our web-based app used for regimens and programs. Individual, private user access is required to access AETV.
