Here is a simple and refreshing drink to make that will instantly give you a natural boost of energy. No caffeine, completely fresh ingredients.
750ml cold water
2 tbsp fresh-pressed ginger
1-2 tbsp raw honey
Juice from 1 large / 2 small limes
1 tsp fresh mint leaves
Zest from half of the limes used
Combine and blend all ingredients on low speed for 1 minute, then medium speed for 30 seconds.
Pour through strainer into glasses and serve.
If using dried mint, there may be tiny specks of the leaves that pass through the strainer.
For the fresh-pressed ginger, I usually freeze fresh-pressed ginger juice into ice cubes and have some in the freezer all of the time. For recipes like this, the frozen ginger makes it a bit more chilled and frothy.
